SaloneJamboree, which was launched on May 29, 2009, at the British Council Auditorium, has consistently given voice to the Arts sector for over two decades. Beyond reporting, Kamara and his team have organized groundbreaking events such as the Miss Correctional Beauty pageant, aimed at supporting the rehabilitation of women behind bars. SaloneJamboree has also been the driving force behind the Salone Social Media Awards, which recognize and reward individuals and groups making positive use of social media.

As the Correspondent for German International broadcaster Duetsche Welle (DW) in Sierra Leone, Kamara has navigated and reported on a wide array of social and cultural issues.
