As the Founder and CEO of SaloneJamboree, Sierra Leone’s foremost Arts and entertainment newspaper, Kamara has been instrumental in promoting and highlighting the rich, untapped potential of Sierra Leone’s Arts and entertainment industry. SaloneJamboree, which was launched on May 29, 2009, at the British Council Auditorium, has consistently given voice to the Arts sector for over two decades. Beyond reporting, Kamara and his team have organized groundbreaking events such as the Miss Correctional Beauty pageant, aimed at supporting the rehabilitation of women behind bars. SaloneJamboree has also been the driving force behind the Salone Social Media Awards, which recognize and reward individuals and groups making positive use of social media.
