Founder and CEO of SaloneAdventures, a travel and tourism website, Murtala Mohamed Kamara noted that Sierra Leone has incredible natural tourism attractions, but that these sites remain largely inaccessible due to the high cost of flights to the country.
Speaking on the 98.1 Good Morning Salone program, he expressed disappointment regarding the country’s failure to develop these natural tourism sites and attributed the accessibility issue to the high fare costs, including various taxes.
Kamara emphasized that the average tourist is not a wealthy individual but rather a budget-conscious traveler, who conducts thorough research on destinations, assessing factors such as flight ticket prices and accommodations, before making a decision.
